The end didn't come in horsemen and biblical rapture. We lost to our own devices - war, debt, riots, bombs... The United States was a nuclear wasteland of carnage and chaos. That was over 60 years ago.
That's what I admire about mankind. When everything we know is gone and forgotten, we will survive. Because that is what we know best.
